We are seeking and driven and collaborative Sr. Bookkeeper/Accountant to join the team! Our ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of experience with full-charge bookkeeping, and can work across various niches of business. This position will play a crucial role in leading new client engagements and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and providing accurate data to support strategic decision-making. In this role, you'll need to manage and lead multiple client projects and communicate with clients to support their requests.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Onboarding new clients
- Assist in client retention and client growth opportunities
- Perform a full cycle accounting close
- Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers
- Reconcile and balance accounts
- Produce timely and accurate monthly financial statements
- Generate 1099s and W2s and calculate and prepare tax statements
- Frequent communication with clients
Qualifications
- 3+ years of applicable experience
- Ability to handle a large portfolio of clients
- Be detail oriented...accuracy is key, organized and a strong communicator with the ability to manage the duties autonomously
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently
- Collaborative, adaptable, and accountable to tasks given
- Ability to pivot across difference niches of work, clients, and timelines
- Must maintain high discretion and professionalism with confidential information
- Ability to correctly interpret and apply complete instructions, policies and regulations
- Analytical skills and an eye for details
- Understanding of payroll accounting
- Proficient with accounting software(s) - (Quickbooks Desktop / Online, Creative Solutions, Zoho Books, etc.)
- Proficient with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and internet-based applications
